PASTOR ALAN YOUNG

Pastor Alan Young was born in Michigan, it was here in 1975 where he was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost under the tutelage of the late Suffragan Bishop Harold Scott of Cassopolis, MI. After many years of teaching and training, the Lord led Pastor Young and family to Austin, TX. Where they became members of the First Pentecostal Church until 1986. While there he and his wife Veronica heeded God's call and established Grace Temple Church in October 1986. The Church started with four members: Pastor and wife Veronica, along with their two sons Christopher and Craig. And through the years the church has expanded and reached many souls. Pastor Young was ordained in 1987 and was elevated to the office of District Elder in 1994 through the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World organization.

He married Veronica Taylor (now Evangelist Veronica Young) on November 25, 1972 and to this union were born two sons: Christopher and Craig. Pastor and Evangelist Young are also grandparents to four grandchildren: AnaLysa, Jacquelyn, Marcus, and Cy.

God spoke to Pastor Young to bring about a name change for the church. In January of 2010, Grace Temple Church, Inc. became Grace Covenant Christian Center of Austin, Inc. Pastor Young understood through the scriptures and the examples in the Bible that when God has a new assignment or wants to take you to a higher level, He often will change your name. He changed the name of Abram to Abraham, Jacob to Israel, and Simon to Peter. Our renewed purpose is that God has called us to new life, a new identity and a renewed mission to win the lost of this world at any cost by proclaiming the new covenant promises in the promise of eternal life in Hebrews 8:10-13 and Hebrews 9:15. God has equipped us through His Grace (divine favor) and readied us for the battle. He has assured us through the covenant agreement that if we will love Him, trust in Him, and work for Him; He will in turn bless us with Greater Victories!

Pastor Young believes, through Christ that lives can be changed and has established the "I'm Changed Ministries." Where we are reaching the lost and hurt people of this world and building people of all cultures into purpose, power, and praise while extending the boundaries of the kingdom of God.

EVANGELIST VERONICA YOUNG, PASTOR'S WIFE

A young girl 17 years old pregnant and unmarried. Not the best way to start ones adult life. Does the future hold a lifetime on public assistance? College? Is all hope lost? What a start! This is the beginning of my adult life (I wasn't even an adult) but let me tell you of the goodness of God. I came to the Lord at 19 years old. By that time I was married with two little children. God saved me and then my husband. We devoted our lives to God and He has given us many of the desires of our hearts and I know more is on the way.

From my most modest beginnings in a small town in Michigan, God has blessed my husband, Pastor Alan Young, and me to raise two wonderful boys, Christopher and Craig and now we have 4 grandchildren. My college career was put on the back burner with family and church demands taking the forefront. But again my testimony is God will give you the desires of your heart. God blessed me to graduate in 1994 from the University of Texas in Austin Summa Cum Laude! God is an awesome God!

Now I can say with much joy that I'm a servant of the Lord. I've been on assignment, since 1986, when Pastor Young and I heeded God's call and established Grace Temple Church. My goal is to do whatever I can, to let whomever God puts in my way, know of the goodness of God. My entire life is a testament to the fact that God is the best thing that can happen in anyone's life!
